Pickleball Conditioning
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. It’s appeal to players of all ages and simplicity are just some of the reasons for the sport’s rapid growth.
On the other hand, it lends itself to a vast number of injuries. People seemingly have started playing with little to any prep work.
This program is designed to create prep work and injury prevention for the player. Using functional training techniques, the real-world applications are a natural fit for pickleball enthusiasts.
Most common injury areas: ankle sprains, calf strains, hamstring strains, Achilles tendonitis and other soft tissue related injuries. There are more likely acute trauma injuries related to play, additionally adding bones and joint related injuries to the mix.
Golf Conditioning
Similar to pickleball, golf has a strong passionate fanbase. Played both leisurely and competitively, it has long been a subject of discussion whether or not injuries have occurred while playing and at what rate they occur.
Nevertheless, its estimated that golfers experience 15-40% (amateur) injury rate per year; meaning a significant portion of players will sustain a golf-related injury at some point in their golfing lifetime.
Golf conditioning will follow a strengthening and lengthening approach to training. Increased strength while maximizing the stability and mobility of the muscle. Along with guided core training, you will gain a noticeable improvement in your handicap.
Most common injury areas: Lower back, shoulders, elbows, wrists. Overuse injuries are more prevalent, rather than acute trauma.
